AALO, Jun 26: The ‘Creative Titans’ team from Ramakrishna Mission School, Aalo – comprising Debosmita Jha, Gengam Tacha, Khushi Singh, Gargi Singh and Amitesh Prasad – has emerged one of the winners in a national level event.
Toycathon-2021, an inter-ministerial initiative organized by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other Ministries, was conceived under the ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel toy and games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos.
In the first phase of the competition, out of 17,749 submitted ideas, a total of 2537 ideas made its way to the grand finale of the event. Among the shortlisted ideas, 1567 ideas were based on digital games & paper toys.
The three-day digital hackathon, which started on June 22, consisted of a series of mentoring and evaluating sessions by experienced faculties and experts to pick the best ideas.
The RKM School students’ game titled “Udit Bharat” is an entertaining board game which can be played by four players with the aid of a treasurer. It is to be played on the Indian map that depicts all the States of India and their geographical features which enables players to be acquainted with the cultural and geographical diversities of the land. It is an engaging game that counts on luck as well as strategy.
Many dignitaries have lauded the efforts of all the participants for their astounding achievements in the national level program. (DIPRO)
