Don’t cause ‘embarrassment’ to State Govt: CS to Sr officers

ITANAGAR, Jun 23: Chief Secretary Dharmendra gave clear-cut directions to the senior officers to attend to the court matters on priority, saying “they should not cause embarrassment to the State Govt due to their negligence in handling the same.”

The CS, who held an interaction with the senior officers of the State Govt at the level of Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Special Secretary and Additional Secretary at his conference hall in Civil Secretariat here today, asked the senior bureaucrats of the State Govt to work in a manner to solve the issue of common men, public and also to ensure that the issues of officials and other staff of State Govt, if any, be given due consideration and should be resolved, said an official communiqué.

Giving clear-cut directions to the senior officers to attend to the court matters on priority, the Chief Secy said: “They and should not cause embarrassment to the State Government and Chief Secretary due to their negligence in handling court matters.”

He further directed the Divisional Commissioners of East and West to regularly keep in touch with the respective Deputy Commissioners, obtain detailed weekly reports on important matters and place the same before the Chief Secretary for information and further necessary action.

The Deputy Commissioners may also be asked to monitor the ongoing projects and inform the updates on a weekly basis.

The IT department was also asked to bring the districts under e-office. Further, the CS directed the department to work on putting the entire State at all levels on e-office format.
