ITANAGAR, Jun 24: Coinciding with the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, a team from Recovery Club, Drug Rehabilitation and Addiction Centre, Aalo has set off its journey from the West Siang district headquarters with a ‘mission’ to raise awareness on drug problem and its implications by carrying out a series of activities like, interaction with people, awareness session and motivation to youth, public orientation, etc on the issue.
Their journey was flagged off by Aalo East MLA and Advisor (Law and Justice) Kento Jini on Friday. On their way, the team will halt and conduct programs at targeted spots before reaching Itanagar to participate in a walkathon being organized to mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Sunday next.
