World Pharmacists Day observed at Pasighat

PASIGHAT, Sep 25: The World Pharmacist Day was observed here on Sunday jointly by Apex Professional University (APU), Arunachal Pradesh Pharmacy Council (APPC) and Arunachal Registered Pharmacist Association (APRA). The theme of the observance was ‘Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world’.

Gracing the event, Joint DHS (T&R) BPGH, Dr T Tali said that the World Pharmacist Day is celebrated every year to create awareness about the role of a pharmacist in improving the healthcare system and to honour and recognize their contribution towards global health. It provides an opportunity to promote the pharmacy profession.

“Good behaviour and trust between pharmacists and patients was essential. Pharmacists should always keep updating their pharmaceutical knowledge and skills because their profession is directly related to human life,” Dr Tali said while adding that they should serve the people with sincerity, devotion so that people can understand how they are educating and making them healthier.

APU Vice Chancellor Dr P Ajith Kumar, in his speech, said pharmacists require a significant investment of time and effort. They play a pivotal role in the healthcare sector.

APU Chancellor Acharya Dhanwant Singh also spoke and greeted the pharmacists on the occasion. (DIPRO)
