State Kho Kho team returns post participating in Maha Sr nationals

ITANAGAR, Dec 1: The 28-member Arunachal team including 24 players (12 each of males and females) that took part in the 55th Senior National Kho Kho Championship held at Chatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Osmanabad, Maharashtra, returned to the State on Monday last, according to a release issued by Kho Kho Association of Arunachal Pradesh (KKAAP) secretary general Puto Bui.

The 55th Senior National Kho Kho Championship was conducted from 20th to 24th November.

The Kho Kho men players were led by manager Kalyan Kumar Dan and Matuni Padung as coach, while the women were led by Yayi Jamoh (manager) and Koyam Langkam as coach.

On 15th Nov last, the Arunachal Pradesh team was formally flagged off at Dibrugarh railway station.

The inaugural function was held at Chatrapati Shivaji Stadium on 20th Nov last, with Ajit Pawar, Leader of Opposition, Maharashtra LA, kicking off the championship.

All the members were given away the certificate of participation by the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI), KKAAP further stated.
