ITANAGAR, Apr 2: The officers and staff of Directorate of Health Services (DHS) accorded a warm send-off to Dr Dondu Wange, Director Health Services and Tulsi Namchoom, UDC at the DHS conference hall in Naharlagun today, as they superannuated on 31st March last.
Dr Wange joined as MO at Seppa on 4th November, 1986. Later, he served in Chowkham and Bomdila, after which he was posted as DMO Aalo and assumed office on 27th June, 2013. Later, he was posted as SPO, Tobacco Control at DHS office, Naharlagun. Afterwards, Dr Wange was posted as DMO, Roing and later at Bomdila.
Thereafter, Dr Wange was promoted as Jt Director Family Welfare and assumed charge on 18th May, 2021. After that, he joined Jt DHS (Estt) on 6th Dec’21. Following this, Dr Wange assumed the charge of DHS on 31st July, 2023.
Finally, Dr Wange got the promotion as additional DHS and took over the charge on 20th October, 2023.
Namchoom joined as LDC on 2nd December, 1988. She was later promoted to UDC on 20th July, 2010.
Dr Wange played a very important role in framing of the RR (recruitment rules) of different categories of technical staff of the Health department and granting of NPA (Non practicing allowance) for doctors. Namchoom’s ever smiling and helping attitude was appreciated by all.
Dr Riken Rina, DHS appreciated their valuable contributions and wished them a productive, healthy and happy post retirement life.
The function was attended by all officers and staff of the Health department.
