DWS felicitates retired chief engineer

ITANAGAR, Sep 4: The Dulom Welfare Society (DWS) has felicitated the former Chief Engineer, PWD North-West Zone, Dube Dulom, who recently retired from service, in a city hotel here on Monday last.

Born to Late Lidu Dulom and Lije Nguki Dulom on 5th August 1964 at Dulom village under Sigin-II circle in Upper Subansiri district, Dube Dulom, who graduated in Civil Engineering from Tripura Engineering College, Agartala, joined Govt service as Assistant Engineer, Zone-1, PWD on 26th August 1987.

He was promoted to the position of Executive Engineer and took the charge of EE, Daporijo PWD Division in 1999 and served for four years. He was transferred to Sagalee PWD Division where he served for six and half years before being promoted to Superintending Engineer rank as SSW, Western Zone in 2015. He was promoted to Chief Engineer’s post in 2023 and was later posted as CE, PWD North-West Zone, Tawang, where he served for one year and six months till his retirement on August 31 last.

Dulom was awarded State Govt Silver and Gold Medals while serving as EE, Daporijo and Sagalee PWD Division in 2002 and 2014, respectively, for his exceptional service.

The DWS hailed the retired chief engineer for being a profound dignified person and a renowned technocrat with clean image in his entire 37 years and six days service career.

The felicitation programme was attended among others by former Minister Yari Dulom, Chief Engineer, HQ & Coordinator, RWD, Nyai Rigia, RWD Chief Engineer (Eastern) Tanu Tamin, Disaster Management Director Komkar Dulom and Tagin Cultural Society (TCS) secretary general Tuter Dulom.
