PASIGHAT, Nov 28: The three-day annual Sport Meet of Donyi Polo Vidya Niketan (DPVN), Talom Rukbo Nagar, Pasighat got underway at the school premises here today, with East Siang District Superintendent of Police Pankaj Lamba inaugurating the meet, amidst the presence of students, school principal, teaching staff and other guests.
The programme began with the hoisting of a ‘flag’, followed by an impressive march past and ceremonial lighting of torch.
The SP East Siang, the chief guest, delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to uphold discipline, sportsmanship spirit and determination.
With his formal declaration, the Annual Sports Meet 2025 commenced, and the first event, tug-of-war, was conducted with great enthusiasm and excitement. The three-day event will conclude on Saturday, informed Vidya Kant Jha, Principal DPVN.
The presence of Mohanan, Kshetriya Sangathan Mantri, Sanskrit Bharati; Oder Gao, Coordinator Matri Bharati ASVS and Secretary SMC; Dr Kaling Dai, president SMC; and R P Sharma, and guardians of the Vidyalaya, motivated the participating players.
