ITANAGAR, Jun 8: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Pawan Kumar Sain has appealed to all eligible citizens to actively participate in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 Phase-III of the electoral rolls to ensure a comprehensive, accurate and inclusive voter database.

Addressing the media at Nirvachan Bhawan here on Monday, the CEO said the revision exercise aims to update and verify elector details while facilitating the enrolment of all eligible voters across the state. He urged voters to fill and submit their enumeration forms, verify their personal details, and extend full cooperation to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the verification process.

The CEO reiterated that the exercise is being conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls.

Highlighting the importance of public participation, Sain said that an accurate and error-free electoral database is essential for strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring free and fair elections.

He informed that Phase-III of the Special Intensive Revision, involving house-to-house visits by BLOs, will commence on June 15. The exercise will include extensive field verification and updating of voter data across the state. The final publication of the revised electoral rolls is scheduled for September 22.

Appealing to all eligible citizens to take part in the process, Sain stressed the need to ensure that their names and particulars are correctly reflected in the electoral rolls, thereby contributing to a stronger democratic process in Arunachal Pradesh.

The CEO further informed that the state currently has a total of 8,87,505 registered electors, including 4,52,089 women voters.
