PASIGHAT, Feb 3: In a noble gesture to recognize the relentless efforts of Border Roads Organization (BRO) personnel and labourers, the Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB), Itanagar organized a welfare kit distribution programme at the Project Brahmank’s Raneghat HQs here today.
A total of 725 blankets and 210 sets of utensils were distributed to BRO labourers working in Pasighat as well as in the forward areas of Siyom and Siang Valleys. The initiative aimed at supporting the workforce engaged in challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions, who continue to work tirelessly to strengthen critical infrastructure in remote and strategically important regions of the country.
Gracing the programme, S C Looniya, Chief Engineer (P) Brahmank (Pasighat), lauded the unmatched dedication, resilience, and commitment of BRO workers in nation-building under the most demanding conditions. He emphasized that the success of BRO projects is rooted in the unwavering hard work of its labour force, whose contribution remains vital to national connectivity, security, and development.
The CE also lauded the efforts of APB&OCWWB headed by Rolen Dagam, Workers Welfare Board Chairman.
The programme was also attended by Mipet Tayeng, State vice president Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Arunachal Pradesh, and Moyir Koyu, Gen Secy Workers Welfare Board, Pasighat.
The welfare initiatives reflect BRO’s people-centric approach and reaffirm its respect for the men and women, who serve the nation by building roads, bridges, and lifelines in some of the toughest terrains of India, said the WWB Chairman.
