Industries Minister inaugurates first batch of 6-day ESDP at EDI Jote

Itanagar, Feb 3: Minister for Commerce & Industries, Labour & Employment, IPR & Printing, Nyato Dukam, inaugurated the first batch of the six-day Residential Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Jote, on Monday.

The inaugural programme was also attended by Secretary of Industries-cum-Chairman of EDI Jote, Hage Tari, along with Project Officer, EDI Jote, Yater Soki; Joint Director of Industries Dani Abing; and others.

Addressing the participants, Minister Nyato Dukam highlighted the various skill development initiatives undertaken by the state government to empower the youth. He encouraged the trainees to complete the programme sincerely, stressing its importance in shaping their entrepreneurial careers.

Industries Secretary Hage Tari reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship in the state. He spoke on the role of EDI Jote, established in 2010 with funding from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt of India, in providing skill-based training, workshops, and seminars to boost entrepreneurship and reduce regional disparities.

EDI Director Jumli Ete informed that the programme is training 30 participants from 11 districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The course covers key areas such as digital marketing, financial systems, preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), film production, e-commerce, online retailing for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), and government schemes for entrepreneurs.

With the successful launch of the programme, EDI Jote reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh.
