ITANAGAR, Feb 4: In an unprecedented and remarkable achievement, for the first time this year, six NCC cadets from 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion who represented Arunachal Pradesh in the Republic Day Contingent (RDC) participating in various events like Pradhan Mantri Rally (PMR) and cultural events, were accorded warm welcome on their return to the State today.
The cadets who earned this rare distinction for RDC-2026 are Likha Takap & Elisha Kino (RGU), Senior Under Officer Ajay Singh & cadet Tamo Sunya (DNGC), SUO Rahul Chutia (RGGPC) and Sergeant Koj Nancy (DBC, Itanagar) and the contingent was accompanied by ANO Palvinder Singh (RGGPC).
The cadets were accorded a warm and enthusiastic reception by the officers, staff and cadets of 1 AP Bn NCC on their return at the Naharlagun Railway Station today. The atmosphere resonated with pride, applause, and a deep sense of accomplishment as the battalion celebrated this milestone and congratulated the NCC cadets for their remarkable achievement.
The accomplishment by the cadets is not only a proud moment for 1 AP Bn NCC and the respective institutions but also for the entire State. The NCC cadets representing the State in the Republic Day stand as a testament to the discipline, dedication, and high standards upheld by them. The stellar performance of the RDC 2026 cadets has set a new benchmark and will continue to inspire future generations of NCC cadets across the State.
A total of nine cadets of National Cadet Corps from three NCC battalions of Arunachal Pradesh (six cadets from 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC, two cadets from 2 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion and 1 cadet from 22 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC) represented the State in RDC 2026.
