ANINI, Feb 4: The State Health Agency (SHA), Department of Health & Family Welfare, GoAP successfully participated in the Central Reh Festival of the Idu Mishmi community at Anini, Dibang Valley district, near the Indo-China border from February 1to 3.
The SHA team facilitated on-the-spot Ayushman card creation and delivery to eligible beneficiaries, thereby extending healthcare benefits to a significant number of beneficiaries among the festival-goers.
A major focus of the initiative was the expansion of the Ayushman Vay Vandana Scheme, which provides health coverage of Rs 5 lakh per year for senior citizens aged 70 years and above. With Aadhaar as the sole requirement, many eligible festival-goers were able to instantly generate their Ayushman cards, strengthening healthcare inclusion for the elderly.
The SHA initiative received an encouraging response from the public present at the ground. The Reh Festival proved to be an effective platform for maximizing outreach and awareness of this important government health scheme. Beneficiaries under AB PM-JAY, along with Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) and senior citizens, greatly benefitted from the program through on-the-spot Ayushman card creation and delivery.
