Tania Yaring becomes ‘Mrs Grand Subansiri 2026’

ITANAGAR, Feb 11: Tania Yaring was crowned Mrs Grand Subansiri 2026 in a glittering ceremony held at the DK Convention Centre here on Tuesday evening.

The event celebrated confidence, talent and social responsibility among women, as Yaring emerged as the winner after impressing the judges with her grace, intelligence and commitment to social causes. She displayed exceptional poise during the interactive and talent rounds, earning widespread appreciation from the audience and jury members.

Narang Yangha Kago became the 1st runner-up, while Rakhe Yaram Tao got the 2nd runner-up spot.

Speaking after her victory, Yaring expressed gratitude to the organizers, her family and supporters, and dedicated the title to women striving for self-empowerment. She said the platform would be utilized to promote awareness on education, health and women’s rights in the region.

“The crown is not just a personal achievement, but a responsibility to inspire and uplift others,” she said.

The event was attended by MLAs Toko Tatung (Yachuli) & Pani Taram (Koloriang), and Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women Chairperson Yalem Tago Burang, among others.

The finale was judged by former Miss Universe Arunachal Pradesh Thupten Lhamu, Mr Arunachal 2025 first runner-up Tenzing Delek, Mrs Arunachal first runner-up Taniya Yapa Toko, and Mrs Grand Subansiri 2025 first runner-up Milo Akang.

Organisers said the pageant aimed to encourage women to pursue their dreams while contributing positively to society and becoming agents of social change.

With this title win, Yaring will now represent the State on larger platforms, carrying forward the message of confidence, inclusivity and empowerment.
