BJP ST Morcha organises ‘Shramik Samvad’ on Union Budget 2026

ITANAGAR, Feb 11: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ST Morcha on Wednesday organised a “Shramik Samvad” programme at Akashdeep Market here to discuss the Union Budget 2026 and create awareness about labour welfare schemes.

Senior party leader and prominent businessman Ha Tatu attended the programme as the resource person. BJP ST Morcha state president Kame Yangfo, and BJP Kisan Morcha state president Gumsen Lollen were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Ha Tatu urged workers to become aware of their rights, get their e-Shram cards made, and take full advantage of the various welfare schemes introduced by the government.

He stated that over the past 11 years, the Modi-led central government has focused on opening bank accounts and linking Aadhaar cards to ensure transparency in the implementation of welfare schemes. This initiative, he said, has enabled funds to be directly transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Tatu further highlighted that the government has introduced several schemes for workers, including health benefits, pension support, insurance coverage, and easy-term loans for self-employment. However, he noted that due to a lack of awareness, many workers are still unable to avail themselves of these benefits.

Speaking on the occasion, Kame Yangfo said the party is organising awareness programmes across the country on the Union Budget 2026. He added that the objective is to encourage workers to benefit from government labour welfare schemes by increasing awareness about their entitlements.
