‘VB-G RAM G is most suitable for realizing Viksit Bharat vision’: Wangsu

ZIRO, Feb 12: Agriculture Minister Gabriel D Wangsu asserted that the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act has immense potential for rural development and realising the vision of a developed India.

Speaking at a meeting organised by the BJP, Arunachal Pradesh here today, the Minister urged the public not to misunderstand or allow themselves to be misled about the Act and its objectives.

“VB-G RAM G is a transformative initiative,” said Wangsu, who also holds portfolios of Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Fisheries, Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs, and Food & Civil Supplies. “There were many loopholes and lapses in the earlier MGNREGA. The new VB-G RAM G is transparent and most suitable for the Viksit Bharat vision.”

The Minister lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for introducing what he termed a “visionary initiative”.

Earlier, as part of the awareness campaign, Wangsu flagged off a tractor rally, which saw participation from MLA Hage Appa, ex-Minister Tage Taki, along with dedicated BJP leaders and party workers from across the State.

Both the MLA and the former minister also addressed the gathering, highlighting various aspects of the new employment and livelihood mission.

The initiative aims to reach every household in rural areas, ensuring that people are informed about the opportunities and benefits available under this transformative mission for employment and livelihood. The awareness campaign is expected to cover various districts of Arunachal Pradesh in the coming days.
