LIKABALI, Feb 13: Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner Rujjum Rakshap convened a meeting of administrative officers, heads of departments, Panchayat members, Ramle Banggo Welfare Society and eminent citizen of the district at his conference hall today to formally embark on ground work to explore modalities to make the forthcoming visit of Chief Minister Pema Khandu to Sikirikma an eventful one.
The meeting was attended by local MLA-cum-State Assembly Deputy Speaker Kardo Nyigyor and Nari-Koyu MLA Tojir Kadu.
The Dy Speaker suggested that they have a meeting with the Chief Minister prior to beginning any preparation. He also desired that the Nari Additional Deputy Commissioner heads the committee.
The Nari-Koyu MLA wanted the local organizing committee to make a field trip to Sikirima and carry out extensive planning activities by using advanced technology to finally work out the visit plan.
After a long parley, the house “unanimously” decided to constitute a Local Organising Committee involving the members from both Likabali and Nari Koyu so that it further chalks out the modalities to facilitate the proposed visit of the Chief Minister a purposeful one.
Earlier, the DC welcomed everyone to come up with valuable inputs so that the proposed visit is properly planned. He appealed to the people to shun any kind of differences and help in drawing a robust plan to make Lower Siang district a model district in the State. (DIPRO)
