A Govt of India initiative, Ayushman HWC (Health & Welness Centre) has been renamed Ayushman Arogya Mandir, with the tagline Arogyam Paramam Dhanam.

The formal inauguration of the new SC building, constructed under the MLA LAD fund, was done by local MLA Zingnu Namchoom in a brief but impressive programme here, in presence of Namsai Deputy Commissioner C R Khampa, Dr Nang Soreya Namchoom (DMO), Dr Samipjyoti Bora, External Assessor (NQAS), Dr Rajkumar Kapan, External Assessor (NQAS), Manash Mohan State Coord UNICEF, DRCHO, DPO (NCD), DTO, PRI members, ASHAs, AWWs, public of Bhogamur, Mengkeng Miri, Dhonekona and HWO, ANM & staff of AAM SC Bhogamur.

Speaking post the inauguration, the MLA appreciated the efforts of health staff and community for maintaining AAM SC Bhogamur beautifully and for making the health facility qualify for national level NQAS certification. He expressed his optimism for a better outcome of the assessment.

Impressed with the upkeep and services being provided from the health facility, the MLA appealed to the public to ‘treat’ the health centre as their own and extend full cooperation and support to the health staff working there.

The DC, in his speech, expressed gratitude to the MLA for sanctioning the SC building, thus bringing the health care services to the doorstep of the beneficiaries. He also cautioned the public that the HWC SC has been renamed as Ayushman Arogya Mandir, and so, they should keep this health facility like a mandir (temple).

He also stressed on optimum utilization of Pratiksha, a birth waiting home for expecting mothers near EDD/LP, who cannot afford to visit frequently due to communication bottleneck and are economically backward.

The DRCHO highlighted the present status of the AAM SC Bhogamur, and the contributions and support of MLA Namsai in shaping the health centre thus far.

He also shed light on the services available and being provided from this health facility, and urged the people to avail the services. (DIPRO)
