Bid to boost Arunachal-Assam bond: Five-day Inter State Youth Exchange Program gets off to a colourful start

PASIGHAT, Feb 18: With a view to strengthen the ties between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam through cultural exchange, dialogue, and collaborative activities, a five-day Inter State Youth Exchange Programme got underway at the Community Hall, Runne village under Pasighat circle in East Siang district today.

A total of 37 participants, including two escorts, from Assam are participating in this five-day youth exchange initiative aimed at promoting national integration, cultural harmony, leadership development, and mutual understanding among the youth of both States.

On the inaugural day, the Assam team presented a colourful cultural performance showcasing their rich traditions and heritage, symbolizing unity in diversity.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Talut Siram, Wildlife Warden (GoAP), as chief guest.

In his keynote address, Siram spoke about environmental conservation, wildlife protection, and the responsibility of young citizens in safeguarding natural resources.

PMC Councillor (Ward No 7) Pema Dolma Moyong, in his speech, emphasized the role of youth in community development and grassroots leadership.

38 BJP mandal president Nalo Ering encouraged the youth to take active roles in leadership and nation-building.

Pawan Kumar Rav, District Youth Officer (DYO), East Siang, MY Bharat Kendra, also spoke.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Tutu Tasing, president BJYM Siang District, highlighted the importance of youth participation in strengthening inter-state relations and national unity.
