The global summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, drawing participation from representatives of 118 countries, including Heads of State, global AI leaders, policymakers, and over 500 industry experts.

Themed ‘Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya’ (Welfare for all, Happiness of all), the summit highlighted India’s vision to lead the global AI revolution through inclusive growth, ethical innovation, and responsible deployment of artificial intelligence.

In his address, the Prime Minister outlined the M.A.N.A.V. Vision for AI, focusing on Moral and Ethical Systems, Accountable Governance, National Sovereignty, Accessible and Inclusive frameworks, and Valid and Legitimate practices.

The Arunachal delegation attended plenary sessions featuring addresses by Union Minister for Electronics & IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, and prominent global leaders including N Chandrasekaran, Dario Amodei, Sundar Pichai, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres. A keynote address was delivered by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Subsequent sessions featured interactions with leading global figures such as Mukesh Ambani, Bill Gates, Sam Altman, and Demis Hassabis, along with panel discussions involving ministers from Togo, Indonesia, Egypt, Costa Rica, UAE and other nations on AI governance and digital transformation.

Delegates further visited pavilions representing Estonia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the Africa AI Village, and France.

Insights from the summit—particularly on AI applications in agriculture, education, infrastructure, and governance—are expected to benefit Arunachal Pradesh in strengthening e-governance, enhancing skill development, and promoting sustainable initiatives. The exposure to global best practices is seen as crucial in bridging the digital divide in remote and hilly regions of the state.

The participation of the Arunachal Pradesh delegation reaffirms the state’s proactive engagement in national and global AI strategies, with plans to align summit outcomes with the seven working groups under the People, Planet, and Progress pillars.
