ITANAGAR, Feb 21: Arunachal Pradesh State Human Rights Commission (APSHRC) Chairperson Bamang Tago called on his Tripura counterpart Justice Arindam Lodh at his office (Tripura State Human Rights Commission) in Agartala today.
The official visit was aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation, sharing best practices, and enhancing coordination between the State Human Rights Commissions for more effective protection and promotion of human rights.
During the meeting, both Chairpersons held detailed deliberations on several important issues. They emphasized the need for regular inter-state consultations to address common human rights challenges and to ensure timely redressal of complaints. The duo also discussed the importance of leveraging technology for faster case disposal and improved transparency.
Both Commissions reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India and to work collaboratively for the protection of fundamental rights and human dignity.
The visit concluded on a positive note with a mutual understanding to continue institutional dialogue and joint initiatives in the future.
