Khonsa Battalion responds to fire incidents, organises Ex-Servicemen Outreach Drive

KHONSA, Feb 21: The Khonsa Battalion of the Assam Rifles responded swiftly to two separate fire incidents in the Borduria area on Friday, demonstrating prompt action and close coordination with civil authorities.

In the first incident, a fire broke out in the afternoon at the Weekly Market on Borduria Road, Khonsa, damaging a temporary structure in the market area. On receiving information, troops of the Khonsa Battalion immediately rushed to the site and carried out fire containment and safety measures in coordination with the local administration and emergency services. The timely intervention ensured that the blaze was brought under control without any loss of life or property.

In the second incident, a major fire erupted around midnight at Nogna village, affecting a few houses and spreading across a considerable area, posing a serious threat to life and property.
