SAD 2.0 camp held at Pansumthong vill, benefitting 1128 villagers

KHONSA, Feb 25: Seva Aapke Dwar (SAD) 2.0 camp was successfully inaugurated on Wednesday at Pansumthong village under Borduria administrative circle, marking another significant step towards strengthening inclusive governance and doorstep service delivery in remote areas of Tirap district.

The SAD 2.0 camp at Pansumthong was graced by ZPC Tirap John K K Matey, in presence of Deputy Commissioner Tirap Techu Aran. A total of 1,128 beneficiaries from Pansumthong, Old Laptang, New Laptang, Terung, Sumsi, Lingdongthun, and Pullong villages availed various government services during the camp.

On the occasion, the ZPC also launched an awareness programme on Drug Abuse and Health & Hygiene, organized by the Department of Information & Public Relations in collaboration with the District Administration. As part of the awareness campaign, 500 pamphlets were distributed to the public.

The programme was attended by HoDs; Chief of Pansumthong, Manwang Lowang; chiefs from Old Laptang, New Laptang, and Sumsi; GPCs, Gaon Burahs (GBs), PRI members, and beneficiaries from Borduria administrative circle.

While interacting with beneficiaries and villagers, Deputy Commissioner Shri Techu Aran stated that the State Government’s flagship initiative, Seva Aapke Dwar, is a true example of “governance in action,” as it brings essential services directly to the doorsteps of the people. Describing the programme as a major step towards inclusive governance, he remarked that its impact is clearly visible on the ground, with increased public participation, greater awareness of government schemes, and enhanced inter-departmental coordination.

During the camp, the ZPC distributed ST/PRC certificates as well as agricultural and horticultural tools to farmers from the participating villages. While inspecting the departmental stalls, the ZPC advised officials to clearly explain scheme guidelines and eligibility criteria to villagers to enable them to effectively avail government benefits.
