CBC, FO Tezu, conducts SOP on ‘Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat’

TEZU, Feb 26: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Field Office Tezu, hosted an Special Outreach Programme (SOP) on “Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat @2047” at the Anganwadi Centre Tezukhola, in coordination with the Women and Child Development Department (ICDS), Tezu, bringing together local villagers and resource persons from different institutions/departments like WCD, Education, and District Child Protection Unit, among others.

Attending the event as a resource person, advocate Sasamlu Minin highlighted the significance of Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat. She also enlightened the gathering on various schemes such as Mission Shakti, Mahila Helpline Number, Nari Shakti and laws related to child & women, POCSO Act, 2012 & Domestic Violence Act 2005.

CDPO Sujan Krichikro shed light on One Step centre (OSC) that provides medical, legal, police, psychological counseilling, and temporary shelter to women facing violence. Highlighting women helpline-181 and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), she also said that women must be economically self-reliant, pursuing higher education and adopting technological literacy.

Later, prizes to the winners of a quiz competition on the topic of ‘Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat’ were presented by the dignitaries.

Earlier, Pravesh Kuma, HoO, CBC (Tezu), explained the participants about the aims and objectives of the programme, which was anchored by Chera Rina, CBC, RO Itanagar.
