Itanagar, Feb 27: Arunachal Pradesh NCP president and Yachuli MLA Toko Tatung called on the newly-elected national president of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sunetra Pawar, who also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, at her official residence in Devagiri, Mumbai.
During an engaging discussion, Pawar assured her full support towards further strengthening the NCP in Arunachal Pradesh. Tatung apprised her of the party’s commendable performance in the recently concluded local body polls in the state, highlighting the growing support base of the party.
As an alliance partner of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the NCP reaffirmed its commitment to upholding its distinct ideology while playing a constructive and progressive role in the overall development of both the state and the nation.
Considering the geo-strategic importance of Arunachal Pradesh, Tatung stated that the party is determined to further expand and reinforce its presence in the state, where it is currently represented by three MLAs.
He also expressed sincere gratitude to NCP national working president Praful Patel and national general secretary and North-East in-charge Avinash Adik for their constant support, guidance, and encouragement.
Tatung paid heartfelt homage to Late Ajit Pawar, stating that his leadership and vision would continue to inspire party workers to serve the people with dedication and integrity.
