PASIGHAT, Feb 27: In a significant breakthrough, Pasighat Police cracked two-wheeler theft cases with the recovery of five stolen vehicles worth around Rs 6.5 lakh from different locations in East Siang district.
During the operation, one alleged accused, Kendo Yomso (28), S/o late Nangkong Yomso, R/o Ngopok village, East Siang district, (AP), was arrested.
The recovery of light motor vehicles and arrest were made by a police team comprising Inspector Dujom Bagra, OC Pasighat police station, SIs J Tasung & K Tangha and ASI R Lowang under the supervision of the SDPO, Pasighat, Dr Akanksha.
In this connection, two separate cases vide PSGT/PS/C/No 113/25 and PSGT/PS/C/No 18/26 - both under Section 303(2) of BNS - have been registered by the Pasighat PS.
Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the involvement of other accused persons and to effect recovery of any additional stolen property. (DIPRO)
