LIKABALI, Mar 2: In view of the proposed visit of Chief Minister Pema Khandu to Sikirima in Lower Siang district this month, the district administration is making all necessary arrangements in due consultation with the dedicated local organizing committee, district heads of departments and Panchayat members.
In this context, a follow up meeting was convened by the Deputy Commissioner here today to review the preparation. Among other members and stakeholders, it was attended by State Assembly Deputy Speaker Kardo Nyigyor, who shared major inputs to boost the preparation. He suggested that the first prerogative of the area should be ensuring land availability to the government so that developmental activities could be taken up there for larger community interest.
Deputy Commissioner Gobi Nyicyor vouched for obtaining land clearance formalities from the Forest department before initiating any developmental work in the area so that issues don’t crop up in the midst of execution of any project there. The DC reiterated for both renovation of the existing motorable road from Pam village to Sikirima and developing a temporary helipad as standby plan to facilitate the visit.
He emphasized on inviting the stakeholders of Pam, Seren and Dipa villages to Sikirima so that the Chief Minister can have conversation with them. Later, a comprehensive and realistic plan has been drawn up after a thoughtful deliberation by the members to put the preparatory works in right tract.
Meanwhile, Nari ADC Ainstein Koyu has made a video presentation of Sikirima prioritizing the key areas at the ground which need urgent focus at the moment so that the proposed visit would not only be facilitated but also turn out to be very fruitful. (DIPRO)
