Dist level ‘Youth Parliament’ conducted at JNC

PASIGHAT, Mar 3: The District level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 was successfully organized at Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat.

Conducted by the NSS unit of JNC in collaboration with My Bharat, Pasighat, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who actively engaged in discussions and deliberations on themes related to nation building, democracy and the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Principal JNC Dr Gindu Borang, who graced the occasion as chief guest, encouraged the youth to take active roles in strengthening democratic values and contributing meaningfully towards nation building. He also appreciated the efforts of NSS and My Bharat in organizing such a significant programme. He stated that Youth Parliament strengthens communication skills, promotes awareness about constitutional values, and inspires youth to become responsible and informed citizens of the country.

Pawan Kumar Rav, District Youth Officer, highlighted the important of youth participation in policy discussions and leadership platforms. He emphasized that the initiative like Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament empowers students to understand parliamentary procedures and democratic functioning at an early stage.

At the programme coordinated by Yami Nyori, after a competitive and engaging session, 10 participants were selected to represent the district at the forthcoming State-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament.

The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates.
