Itanagar, Mar 11: Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of two Army personnel who lost their lives in an unfortunate accident in Upper Subansiri district recently.
The Governor said Naib Subedar Kulwant Singh of the 908 Field Regiment under the 56 Artillery Brigade and Naik Pradeep Kumar Sharma of the 18 Sikh Regiment lost their lives, while in service of the nation.
As per reports, the accident occurred near Reddi village close to the India-China border, when their vehicle was proceeding from Gelemo to Taksing for operational duty under Operation Snow Leopard.
Paying heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers, Parnaik lauded their courage, dedication and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the country’s sensitive borders.
“I join the people of Arunachal Pradesh and the entire nation in conveying our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. We pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed souls and strength and solace to their loved ones in this hour of grief,” the Governor said.
He also prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and strength to the families to bear the irreparable loss.
