Itanagar, Mar 17: Arunachal Pradesh Administrative Reforms Commission (APARC) Chairman Pramod Jain called on Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik at Lok Bhavan here on Tuesday to discuss key administrative reforms aimed at accelerating the development and strengthening governance in the State.
During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the need to make the administration more efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly. He advised the Commission to recommend institutional and procedural reforms with a strong focus on digital transformation and e-governance.
Parnaik underscored the importance of moving towards 100 percent online government payments, e-Office systems, and paperless transactions, noting that such measures would enhance service delivery, improve transparency, and help curb corruption.
Highlighting the need for merit-based personnel management, the Governor stressed that transparency in transfers, postings, and recruitment must be ensured, with merit, integrity, and competence as guiding principles in public service.
Jain assured the Governor that the Commission would recommend wider use of technology, simplification of administrative procedures, and robust grievance redressal mechanisms to further strengthen governance in Arunachal Pradesh.
