SAD 2.0 camp brings Govt services to doorstep in Lohit

DANGLAT, Mar 17: In a continued push for last-mile governance, the Lohit District Administration organised a Seva Aapke Dwar (SAD) 2.0 camp at Danglat on Tuesday, delivering essential government services and welfare schemes directly to the people.

The programme was inaugurated by Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM), Tezu, Baplalum Chiba, in the presence of ZPM Sunpura Gulabso Bellai, Circle Officer (HQ) Habung Moda, heads of departments, and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, Chiba highlighted the importance of public participation and the proactive role of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Gaon Buras in ensuring the success of such outreach initiatives. He stressed that collective involvement is key to strengthening grassroots governance and maximising the impact of welfare programmes.

Bellai urged villagers to make full use of the platform, noting that the camp eliminates the need to travel to Tezu for accessing services. He encouraged citizens to avail facilities such as Aadhaar registration, ST certificates, and driving licences, and to enhance awareness of various government schemes.

Earlier, the District Planning Officer highlighted that SAD 2.0 represents a proactive governance initiative aimed at bridging the gap between administration and citizens through doorstep service delivery.

The camp witnessed a strong turnout, with over 100 enrolments recorded across departments. A wide range of services were delivered on the spot, reflecting effective inter-departmental coordination.

The successful conduct of the camp marks another step towards inclusive, accessible, and people-centric governance in the district. (DIPRO)
