“He was not only an able administrator but also a compassionate leader who believed in inclusive development and community participation. His contributions extended beyond governance, as he remained actively associated with social and cultural organisations, working towards the welfare and upliftment of society,” the statement said.
In recognition of his exemplary service, Late Toko was conferred the Governor’s Commendation Certificate in 2019.
Late Toko will be remembered as a man of humility, discipline, and deep sense of responsibility. His legacy of service, leadership, and dedication will continue to inspire generations to come. His passing is an irreparable loss not only to his bereaved family but also to the administrative fraternity, the media community and the people of the state at large, the media bodies said.
The APC and APUWJ extended their deepest condolences to Migom Toko and the bereaved family, and prayed to the Almighty to grant them strength and solace in this hour of grief. “May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.”
