Army celebrates Int'l Day of Happiness with monastic community in Tuting

TUTING, Mar 21: Marking the spirit of joy and togetherness, the Indian Army celebrated the International Day of Happiness with the monastic community in a border village of Tuting, Arunachal Pradesh, on Friday.

The special outreach programme, held at a prominent monastery in Tuting, was organised under the theme “Compassion at the Frontiers: Building Happiness Together” with the motto “Caring and Sharing.” The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 83 monks, highlighting a shared commitment to peace, compassion, and community bonding.

The programme began with a traditional prayer ceremony, setting a serene tone for the celebration. This was followed by a series of engaging activities, including fun games and a Buddhism-themed quiz, which created a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere among the participants.

The initiative provided a platform for meaningful interaction between Army personnel and the monastic community in an informal and positive environment, further strengthening mutual trust and cooperation.

The celebration concluded with the distribution of refreshments. The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued efforts to foster harmony, support local communities, and promote happiness and wellbeing in remote border regions.
