ITANAGAR, Mar 24: The Abo Tani Clan Organization (ATCO) has urged the state government to prioritize recruitment of indigenous youth of the State in all categories of public sector appointments. In this regard, it has submitted a representation to the Chief Minister.
Denouncing backdoor appointments, the organization claimed that many lower level posts are being filled through nepotism or bribery rather than merit or public advertisements. It has called for a state wide cross check of all departments to ensure that the staff are appointed through proper legal channels.
It also suggested selection of candidates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds for low rank posts and verification and accountability during selection of candidates.
