ITANAGAR, Mar 24: The All Arunachal Unemployed Engineers’ Association (AAUCEA) has called for creation and filling up of surveyor and junior engineer posts lying vacant in various divisions of Arunachal Police Housing & Welfare Corporation limited (APH&WCL).
‘Large number of qualified engineering graduates and diploma holders are presently unemployed despite possessing required technical qualifications and practical knowledge. Non-creation and non-filling up of these essential posts has deprived deserving local youths of employment opportunities and aggravated the problem of educated unemployment in the state,’ the Association wrote in its letter to the DGP cum Chairman of the Corporation.
Claiming non-uniform and non-transparent recruitment of multitasking staff (MTS) in the corporation, the Association suggested entrusting APSSB with the recruitment of the posts to ensure fair selection.
