PASIGHAT, Mar 26: The 3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet - Arunachal Utsav 2026 concluded here today, leaving behind a memorable cultural experience for youth, cultural enthusiasts and the denizens of East Siang district and the State in general.
The cultural Utsav celebrating the rich cultural mosaic of India with rich repository of indigenous and classical dance forms of the State and the country had an array of indigenous folk performances with folk artistes performing Zu -Phon -Shon from the Wancho community of Longding district, Memba folk dance from Shi-Yomi district, Aka folk dance from Thrizino, Khamba community folk dance, Nah community folk performance from Taksing, Bharatnatyam (classical dance form) by Dr Lata Surendra, and Raas Lila from Manipur. Connecting with youth in audience in particular and exuding the folk beats of Sikkim and Arunachal were Lepcha Folk Band – Laso Mung Kup from Sikkim and Arunachal’s musical icon, Taba Chake.
The two-day festival that began yesterday at the Siang River Festival Ground near Raneghat, has been an immersive cultural experience and celebration of India’s cultural diversity. Organized by the Department of Tourism (GoAP), in collaboration with the East Siang District Administration, the event opened with an array of cultural performances highlighting the richness of Arunachal Pradesh and the nation's cultural heritage through the spirit of unity in diversity.
Held under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, the festival that brought together a blend of indigenous traditions and classical art forms aimed to promote cultural harmony and national integration by providing a platform for artists representing various districts of Arunachal and several states of the country.
