Speaking on the journey of making the school fully functional, Jerang informed that a total of 638 individuals from across the district voluntarily contributed towards fund mobilization, which played a crucial role in materializing the long-standing demand for shifting the academic functioning of VKV to its original location at Ramsing. He appreciated the collective support of all stakeholders and emphasized that such unity made the achievement possible.
The DC further informed that the school is now equipped with necessary infrastructure and amenities for smooth functioning. From the upcoming academic session, students of Classes VI to X will also be shifted to Ramsing. The District Administration, in coordination with the VKV authorities, is working towards ensuring proper transportation facilities for day scholars commuting from Yingkiong and nearby areas. Hostel facilities will be provided for boys, while girls will attend as day scholars.
The DC also stressed the importance of maintaining discipline within the hostel premises and directed the school authorities to strictly monitor students to prevent ragging or any form of misconduct. He expressed hope that VKV Ramsing will emerge as one of the premier educational institutions in the district.
Senior member from Ramsing village, Kabit Apang lauded the initiative of the DC and acknowledged that the institution would not have become a reality without his dedicated support. (DIPRO)
