Assam Rifles distributes solar lights in Tirap village

KHONSA, Mar 29: The Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a civic outreach programme under the Civic Action Programme, distributing solar lights to residents of Old Paniduria village in Tirap district on Saturday.

The initiative aimed at supporting people in remote areas by providing sustainable lighting solutions, thereby improving their quality of life. The solar lights are expected to enhance visibility during evening hours, ensuring greater safety and convenience in daily activities.

The locations for distribution were identified in coordination with village authorities to ensure that assistance reached the most deserving sections of the community. The programme saw active participation from village elders and local residents, who expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the initiative.

The initiative reflects the commitment of Khonsa Battalion towards community development and its dedication to strengthening goodwill, trust and civil-military relations with the local populace.
