Field trainers’ training for Census 2027 begins in Tawang

TAWANG, Mar 30: Preparations for Census 2027 gained momentum in Arunachal Pradesh with the commencement of a training programme for field trainers at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Tawang on Monday.

The session is being conducted by master trainer Dr Dargey Tsering, along with Manturaj Nath from the Directorate of Census Operations, Arunachal Pradesh.

Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo underscored the crucial role of field trainers in ensuring the successful conduct of the upcoming Census. She stressed that trainers must have a thorough understanding of procedures to effectively guide field-level staff.

Emphasizing accuracy and accountability, the DC urged trainees to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication, noting that error-free census data is essential for informed planning and national development.

Earlier, Additional District Census Officer Tenzin Jambey welcomed the participants and introduced the master trainers. He encouraged active participation, urging trainees to seek clarifications and remain attentive throughout the sessions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tsering expressed confidence that the trainees would grasp the concepts effectively and go on to train field-level personnel efficiently.

The training programme marks a key step in strengthening groundwork for Census 2027, aiming to ensure preparedness, accuracy, and efficiency in data collection across the district. (DIPRO)
