Robin Hibu sparks ‘renewed’ confidence among civil services aspirants on their way to ‘crack Scholarship Exam 26–27’

RONO HILLS, Apr 2: The Placement Cell and Career Counselling Cell of Rajiv Gandhi University, in collaboration with NEXT IAS and Helping Hands, successfully organized an orientation programme under the NECTDAM (North East Civil Services Talent Discovery & Access Mission) initiative at the RGU mini auditorium here on Wednesday.

The programme aimed to create awareness among civil services aspirants about the prestigious Scholarship Exam 2026–2027, which offers scholarships worth Rs 5 crore to benefit over 2000 talented students from the North East region, thereby significantly enhancing access to quality civil services coaching.

The session was graced by Robin Hibu, president of Helping Hands, who currently serves as Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi.

On the occasion, Robin Hibu delivered a deeply inspiring and impactful speech, emphasizing perseverance, discipline, and clarity of purpose. Drawing from his own journey, he urged students to remain focused and resilient in the face of challenges. His powerful delivery left a profound impact on the audience, with many students expressing that they felt personally motivated and emotionally moved. The session sparked renewed confidence among aspirants and reinforced their commitment towards pursuing civil services with dedication and integrity.

An engaging session was conducted by Neeraj Chouhan and Supriya Singh, who provided valuable guidance on preparation strategies, opportunities and the benefits of the NECTDAM scholarship initiative. Their address highlighted the importance of focused preparation and the role of such initiatives in empowering youth from the North East.

In the evening session, in collaboration with Success Point, Itanagar, another insightful session was delivered by Ashish Ranjan and Akshay Jain, further enriching the participants with practical preparation techniques and exam-oriented strategies.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, reflecting a strong interest in civil services careers.
