Lummer Dai, the leading light in the world of Assamese literature from Arunachal Pradesh and a doyen of journalism, was remembered today (Sunday, April the 5th, 2026) on his 24th death anniversary. In this connection, the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS), East Siang Unit also observed Smriti Divas in honour of the illustrious personality in a brief function at Pasighat on Sunday. The APLS, ESU recalled Luminous Lummer’s insurmountable contributions to the Northeast, in particular Assam and Arunachal, through his radiant literary creations. The towering literary figure was also remembered, in a separate occasion on his home front, at Punya Sthal, Prem Nagar, Naharlagun. Joining the special occasion, the ‘little cutie’ Nyamne Dai paid shraddhanjali (tribute) to her grandfather.
