Natung urges Galo community to preserve their rich culture and tradition

AALO, Apr 5: The diamond jubilee celebration of Mopin festival was held at Gumin Kiin here today with great pomp and gaiety.

The festival was graced by Mama Natung, Minister for Home, PHE and Department of Indigenous Affairs, Tseten Chombay (MLA), Amjad Tak (Commissioner Education) as chief guest, guest of honour and special guest, respectively.

Natung, in his speech, urged the Galo community to preserve their rich culture and tradition.

MLAs Pesi Jilen and Topin Ete, Nyamar Karbak (Chairman of the State Council for IT & e-Governance), West Siang Deputy Commissioner Mindo Loyi, HoDs and the general public attended the celebration. (DIPRO)

Meanwhile, Minister Natung, taking to his X handle, said: “Honoured to attend the Diamond Jubilee Central Mopin Celebration at Gumin-Kiin, Aalo as Chief Guest, alongside Hon’ble MLA Tseten Chombay ji & Host HMLA Aalo West Sri Topin Ete Ji and Commissioner PHED Shri Amjad Tak, IAS.

Mopin reflects the vibrant spirit, unity, and rich heritage of the Galo community. Grateful to Smt. Hengam Ete Bagra Ji and Shri Minjom Padu for the warm invitation.”
