Itanagar, Apr 8: The House Listing and Housing Census 2026 will commence in Arunachal Pradesh from April 16 next.
The exercise will be conducted by the Directorate of Census Operations Arunachal Pradesh under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Self-enumeration will be carried out from April 16 to 30, followed by door-to-door enumeration visits in May.
Urging public participation, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein called on citizens to extend full cooperation to enumerators and ensure accurate information is provided during the process.
He emphasized that reliable data is crucial for effective planning and improved delivery of public services across the state.
The Deputy Chief Minister also appealed to people to actively participate in the national exercise, stating that it will contribute towards building a stronger and more inclusive Arunachal Pradesh.
