Itanagar, Apr 14: The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli also celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the principal architect of Indian Constitution.
The programme began with a floral tribute to Babasaheb as a mark of respect and remembrance. On the occasion, NERIST Director Narendranath S, Registrar MK Camder, along with Deans and students, shared their thoughts highlighting the life, contributions, and enduring legacy of Dr Ambedkar.
To encourage student participation and awareness, competitions such as essay writing, quiz, and video creation based on the life and ideals of Dr Ambedkar were organised, with prizes awarded to the winners. The event served as a meaningful platform to reflect on the ideals of equality, justice, and social reform championed by Dr Ambedkar.
