NAMSAI, Apr 17: The 1st District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) meeting for the financial year 2026-27 was held at the DC’s office conference hall here today, with Namsai Deputy Commissioner C R Khampa chairing the meet.
During the meeting, action taken report of previous DTFI meeting and progress and performances of other NHM programmes, SVC 2.0, HPV Vaccination Campaign, Sampoornata Abhiyan and SAANS performances were reviewed.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC emphasized the need to create greater awareness about Pratiksha, the Birth Waiting Home facility established for expecting mothers where they can stay free of cost.
He also stressed on the formation or reconstitution of Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Committees and highlighted the importance of observing Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSND) where sanitation and health-related issues at the village level can be effectively addressed.
The DC further urged for coordinated efforts from stakeholders for successful implementation of HPV Vaccination campaign.
Khampa noted that ASHAs and Anganwadi workers often work in silos whereas most grassroots health and sanitation activities require close coordination between the two. He urged them to work in close coordination for better outcomes.
The meeting was attended by DMO, DRCHO, MOs in-charge, members of DTFI and representatives from developing partners. (DIPRO)
