Maintain ‘zero tolerance’ against traffic violation: SP Tawang

ITANAGAR, Apr 22: Tawang Superintendent of Police Tasi Darang has called for maintaining zero tolerance against traffic violation.

The SP made this call while leading a Tawang Police team to an on ground assessment of traffic situation in Tawang township area today.

The police team interacted with the members of Taxi Association, hotel owners and the general public.

All the important market areas, tri-junctions, public parking and taxi parking area were visited. Being a tourist hub, the Tawang township faces multiple challenges regarding traffic situation.

On the occasion, the SP instructed all traffic personnel and the OC, Tawang police station to maintain zero tolerance against traffic violators. He also appealed to the public to imbibe traffic discipline in the district.

Till now from January to March this year, the District Police have detected 193 violators and imposed penalties, stated the SP.

The District Police is committed for seamless flow of traffic in Tawang township areas and to implement various sections of the MV Act in the entire district, he said.
