Itanagar, Apr 22: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Wednesday inaugurated “Harmony House” at the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwarya Vishwa Vidyalaya centre in Namsai, dedicating it to the memory of late Dr Chama Manpoong.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by local MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, along with Rajyogi BK Suraj Bhai and Rajyogini BK Rajni Didi from Mount Abu, Rajasthan.
In a social media post, Mein said that “Harmony House” stands as a meaningful step towards building a more mindful and balanced society. Emphasising the need to address substance abuse, he called for collective efforts from the government, society, and spiritual institutions to realise the vision of a ‘Nasha Mukt Arunachal’.
He noted that such spaces for meditation and reflection can play a vital role in guiding youth towards positive life choices and fostering inner discipline.
The Deputy Chief Minister also commended the Brahma Kumaris for establishing the centre, describing it as a “spiritual sanctuary” aimed at promoting harmony, enlightenment, and self-realisation.
