DAPORIJO, Apr 25: The Students' Union of Daporijo Model Degree College organised a mini marathon on Saturday to raise awareness against the growing drug menace in society.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both boys and girls, reflecting a strong collective commitment towards promoting a drug-free society.
The marathon aimed to encourage youth to adopt healthy lifestyles and stay away from substance abuse through sports and physical activities.
Attending the programme as chief guest and guest of honour were Reri Mai Dasi and Binje Nirin respectively. Addressing the participants, the dignitaries highlighted the importance of engaging in sports, physical activities and constructive pursuits as effective means to steer young people away from drugs.
They also urged students to act as ambassadors of awareness and play a proactive role in combating drug abuse through collective efforts.
