BOMDILA, Apr 26: West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar visited the Kameng Hydro Power Station (KaHPS) at Kimi under NEEPCO Limited on Saturday to assess its functioning and ongoing activities.
He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Thrizino, Topek Kakki, and the Assistant Commissioner of Buragaon.
During the visit, the DC held discussions with the Head of Project and senior officials of the power station, reviewing operational efficiency, power generation status, and key issues related to infrastructure and maintenance. The meeting also covered coordination aspects between the project authorities and the district administration.
Emphasizing safety, the DC called for maintaining high operational standards and ensuring effective coordination with local authorities. He also highlighted the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and their role in local area development.
Stressing environmental concerns, the DC directed strict adherence to regulatory norms and underscored the need for sustained environmental safeguards in the operation and maintenance of the project.
He further took stock of the facilities at the project site and reviewed its overall condition. The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to extending all necessary support for the smooth functioning of the project. (DIPRO)
