ITANAGAR, Apr 29: In a unique community outreach initiative marking World Book Day, an open library named “Kitaab Station” was inaugurated at Yazali Police Station in Keyi Panyor district.
The initiative was launched by Keyi Panyor district Superintendent of Police Angad Mehta in the presence of Officer-in-Charge Anurag Chopra and personnel of the Yazali Police Station.
The “Kitaab Station” aims to promote reading habits, encourage knowledge-sharing, and provide easy access to books for people from all sections of society. The initiative is also intended to strengthen community engagement through a shared learning space.
The inauguration witnessed enthusiastic participation from Head Gaon Burahs, Panchayat leaders, members of the Bazaar Committee, and local residents, reflecting strong public support.
The initiative underscores the commitment of Keyi Panyor Police towards community-oriented policing and social development beyond conventional law enforcement roles.
